    CanopySenior Software Engineer · Contract

A loan management platform for installment loans, lines of credit and credit cards, from origination to the end of the loan (pay-off or charge-off), with scheduled events that apply rules for interest, fees and more, such as daily interest accrual. Owned the lines-of-credit core (draws, credit limits, transactions), built with domain-driven design and dependency injection; it became the template for later modules. Built secured lending (collateral, liens, loan-to-value) ahead of its deadline, and automated compliance: SCRA/MLA rate caps and refunds, provisional credit on disputes, payment deferral. Took a card issuer integration from prototype to production; with a teammate, cut card authorization from 1.2 s to 150–200 ms at 4k requests/s in load tests. Co-led a query redesign that cut line-of-credit loading from 40 s to under 4 s. Python, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, AWS.
